    Scotland;
    King Alexander II
    (Medieval Gaelic Alaxandair mac Uilliam) was 32 at the time and was married to Joan Of England, daughter of king John of England who was 20 at the time (She married him at the age of 11, no joke, it was more of a means of patching up diplomacy with England after relations took a turn for the worse when the Scots allied themselves with the barons who rebelled) At 1230, they were 32 and 20 years old and had no children.

    English/Scottish relations weren't too bad at this time because of King John's death, changed everything, and because the queen was the king of England's younger sister (she apparently died in his arms)

    Joan died in 1238 in England and Alexander remarried to Marie de Coucy, she was 21 at the time, they produce one son, also called Alexander. Alexander II dies in 1249 at the age of 50 and their son, Alexander III is called into power at the age of 8. Two earls (Walter Comyn and Alan Durward) fought for supremecy in hope to take advantage of Alexander's youngess.

    England;
    King Henry III
    was only 9 years old when he took the throne in 1216, and stayed there for 56 years, he was renowned as a military failure as a lot of French territories (Artois and Normandie) were lost during his reign, also a lot of rebellions happened throughout his reign caused by his incompetance and over reliance on the French, basically he cared too much about England's French territories and to little about England. His predecessor, King John had five children, as well as Henry, he also had a younger Brother who was Richard, 1st Earl of Cornwall (who was 21 at the time), their younger sister Joan queen of Scots (Mentioned earlier) Queen Isabella (Who was 16 at the time, she married the King of the HRE in 1235)
    and the youngest of all was Eleanor of Leicester who was fifteen at the time and ended up marrying Simon De Montford in 1236 (what is with all these medieval people marrying or being made king so young)

    Henry married Eleanor of Provence in 1236, after 1230, so in 1230...

    Henry is king of England at the age of 23, with the heir his 21 year old brother , the earl of Cornwall, their father king John had died in 1221. Two princesses should be available to England at the startdate, Isabella (16) and Eleanor (15)

    Provinces

    Whether Scotland has control over Inverness or not is a matter of opinion, as the highland clans were fairly independan.

    England had lost many French provinces compared to what you may find on the 1200 Euratlas map as Normandy and Flanders had come under French control, also barons kept rebelling so some tension must be felt by the populace of many English controlled regions as after the first successful Baron's alliance forced King John to sign the Magna Carta, a sencond Barons alliance war, led by Simon De Montford starts in 1264.

    Also after losing Normandy to the French, Anglo/ French relations weren't too good
