I want his hat.
I want his 'stache
This statement is true: "At least one Gaul has a hat and a stache."

A bit late to the show, but I'd like to declare my love for Firefly and Serenity. Everything the Star Wars prequels should have been, but weren't.
For all of us football fans.

(hi there, would you please move ?)
Is that really Gallic?

SOLDUROS!
It's funny, nevertheless, "Tête de Fion". It has to be we are in the elitist chat thread!
The word for photography does not exist in Gaulish at the time of Asterix.
I took "ffotograffau" from Cymraeg and made it look Gaulish. The other words, the syntax and endings are as usual from Lambert.

Ok, the truth is, I have heart a Metal band singing in a kind of reconstructed Gaulish on TV recently and have been eager to try out whether I could with the help of a grammar write a funny sentence in Gaulish, too. It's just some not so serious playing around with morphemes and structures. You learn a bit something about how grammars work when you try to formulate exemplary sentences.

Do you have a dictionary or anything? BTW, I would love to speak any Celtic language, especially Gaelic.

I have a grammar and a dictionary for Cymraeg. The Grammar is the one by Gareth King, the dictionary is somewhere and it would take some time to find the thing. So, I can't tell you the author at the moment. I have used two other books for the Gaulish sentence, too. The grammar is "La Languae gauloise" by Pierre-Yves Lambert and the Dictionary is called "Dictionnaire de la language" gauloise by Xavier Delamarre. These are not easy to find - I think - and in French as the titles say. But I am sure you'll find a number of Gaelic grammars and exercise books on amazon. I would just follow the ratings.
