I think it looks good on you! And it has nothing to do with me being a tiger.

MEHPSOLLA still awaits the shummite smileys PM
Oh my god, you have no idea what "psolla" means in modern Greek... And I'll send 'em don't you worry

In shummite, the -lla ending is generally feminine, i.e. ZEOL-ZEOLLA, DIAMAT-DIAMATELLA, MEHPS-MEHPSOLLA.
I know that. I also know that MEHPSOLLA sounds pretty funny to me . I can be very immature sometimes.

Does it mean something dirty? I tried looking it up in Liddell and Scott's Greek-English Lexicon but the closest I got was ψολος, i.e. smoke.
Well the second "scale" of the word doesn't exactly/directly mean something dirty, but certainly refers closely enough for a Greek to laugh about.
Plus I doubt you will find the relevant word in any kind of Lexicon since its kinda argo word used to refer to another one!

Ach, laugh at ΧΛΟΗ and her trials :'(
I assume that since you know how to write your name in Greek, you also know what it means, right?

Young green shoot, IIRC it's used to describe Nausikaa in Odyssey Z.
You have done your homework well done!

I had better do my homework and know these things - my focus at uni is in Ancient Greek. ;P
Ah, nice to hear! What year are you currently attending?
On another note, it is funny (and sad in a way) to mention that for most modern Greeks, the Ancient Greek is not much different than another foreign language.

Finishing my second year, but I have taken several intensive courses dealing with the Attic, Koine, and Homeric dialects (i.e. I have translated a large variety of texts like Homer, Hesiod, Sophocles, Menander, Heraclitus, Democritus, Plato, Aristophanes, the New Testament, etc.). I'm most comfortable with Attic.
Really impressive, it seems you love your subject and that's what matters really. It's quite pleasant to see that Ancient Greek is still valued abroad. At least more than it is valued in its own country.

Well I am also gorgeous :3
Why does the forum look so different?
Do I need to reboot my Netscape Navigator?

Ah, you're the famous chess player!
Do you read the Financial Times? They recently printed an interview with Magnus Carlsen, a Norwegian chess champ.
