    ^ Tell me about it

Nobody's stopping anybody (well obviously the badge does) to start duplicate citizen-only threads about any relevant topic regardless of subforum the original is posted in here within the Symposium. I, for one, would welcome a more relaxed discussion about next to every hot topic without constant trolling.

    Here here,

I love the rant about all CA cares about is money. Hmm, duh? I can't think of a worse motive for building a game but profit. Of course the game should be perfectly tailored for "expert" game. Unfortunately, the games are designed to maximized profits and not cater to the whims of a few enthusiasts, who, if they were to make happy, would mean inevitable bankruptcy. Perhaps I am being too harsh. The key word is "expectations." Whenever something doesn't meet our expectations it is natural to think it is far worse than it really is. Its ok to be disappointed, but some of these people go way overboard. It is healthy to speak your mind, but they just do to excess. I don't know; maybe I am just glad I am still not playing atari 2600.

Ars gratia artis is not a great philosophy for profitable video game development. I've played a lot of R2TW, I enjoy it, and I especially like the fact that the DLC hasn't looked like necessary components to make the game whole. So many companies are doing that now and it is refreshing to see CA hasn't fallen into that trap. Some developers strike me as money grubbing, CA isn't one of them.
