    Icon7 Elephants recruitable by kwarezm

    Now elephants could be recruited by kwarezm in the last two levels of stables (i think caliph's and sultan's) but you need to get the gunpowder event first.

    It also fix the recruiting bodyguards problem for kwarezm, cumans and mongols.

    i think this is save compatible , and is compatible with another mods that don't edit "export_descr_buildings.txt" so it isn't compatible with pagan mongols

    Make a backup of that file, so if you dont like it, you could remove it.

    Just replace this file in ....Medieval II Total War\mods\Stainless_Steel_6\data

    ok im gonna crush that mongols with elephants

    Interesting idea. It would be better to have ele's with archers on their back, though.

    wait, didn't ss6 had elephants for them?

    elephants are in the mercenary units for khwarezmians according to the SSUST.

    that could be better, but that maybe requires a new unit/model because in vanilla there aren't archers on their back, i don't know how to put an archer to the elephants

    yes thats true, but as long as i know elephants are only available for custom battles and maybe for recruiting in campaign map as mercs , so they can only be recruited in specific regions; What i did was make them available for recruiting in stables, so you can now recruit elephants wherever you have a sultan's /calip's stable and after gunpowder.

    hey i downloaded this and then just copied it into the ss data folder...will that work? i didnt see anything asking me to replace a file or anything...hope i didnt screw up

    is there any way to check the file and see if it worked?

    Em if you just look in the Caliph or Sultans stables you should see if they are recruitable.....

    That's it, but be aware that you need the gunpowder event discovered (I post a new version without...Attachment 12424 just try this file, start a kwarezm campaign and do what Hitman explains).

    save your original file before you get this, all u can recruit are ghulams, turkomans and bodyguards after the change. with ignasigh's you get elephants in addition to these 3 generic cavalry, although you still lose the best cavalry available to the kwarezmian

    Sorry but when you say that you'll lose these cavalry what do you mean? The original SS61 file included them? Or they have been forgotten?

    they are missing in the building browser, start a campaign with your change and you will see.
    in the 6.1 file they are there, if i use your export_descr_buildings.txt they dissapear, but elephants are recruitable.

    Really? I thought I started from 6.1 vanilla version. I'll check if any mod could have changed it....

    Can you post the vanilla version? The change is quite simple!
