Last night I suspended my computer and my sister by mistake has shutdown it... Now when I turn him on, the monitor hangs on in the black color. And doesn't allow me to do anything and can't do nothing with my keyboard somehow...

What should I do?? I'm in the 2nd computer. I'd appreciate your help!

try the tech page or whatever maybe... I personally haven't had this dilemma, but good luck- can't you just reformat it? Make sure all the wires are connected, your pushing hte right buttons etc.

When does the computer hang exactly?
    Does it start windows?
    Can you enter the BIOS?

    1. Check that all your leads are pushed in fully. Nothign like worrying about a bust PC to find that the lead has fallen out the back.

    2. Does the PC base come on? Does the power supply and fans turn on make noise. Dose the PC beep? Do any lights come on?

    3. Dont worry PCs get turned off all the time by people not powering down. It is very very hard to kill a PC nowadays.

You could also take the monitor from the machine you are currently on and hook it up to the one giving you a problem. This will help you determine if your problem is your monitor or the PC itself. You could just have a monitor that died on you.

If it isn't much of a trouble you could try calling technical support from where you had bought the PC or call a friend experienced with PC and hardware. Its always easier when you see the problem and not just hear a description of the situation.

I think something is wrong with the BIOS settings, bacause that's the first thing your computer reads and it always gives some output to the screen (as well as a single beep on your internal speaker).

The BIOS settings are stored in a special chip on your motherboard.
You can reset it to factory defaults, but how to do this depends on your motherboard.
Your motherboard manual wil explain it (if you stil have it).

If you can't find your motherboards manual here is how most boards work:
Most motherboards have a little round battery, removing this battery and re-inserting it wil do the trick.
But some don't have a bettery (they use flash-memory, like in a digital camera), I don't know how to reset those, but it wil most likely involve changing a jumper.

edit: If your computer only has a black screen but starts up normally (so the hard-disk light lits up because windows is starting) them the BIOS settings are OK but it can be simply your graphics card that has broken down.

if you intend to reset the BIOS, use the jumper. make sure the power is off (ie: you flicked the switch on the PSU), and you've unplugged it from the wall. if you will be doing this, also make sure you are static free - it doesnt take much to really screw up your comp.

    Yes, thats the best way.
But you need your manual to find the right jumber (thats why I told you to read it first, if you can find it).

He fixed it somehow, so i'll go fetch the little monkey to try to help you.
I don't appreciate being called a monkey, and yeh i killed the comp, sorry to let you down but i didn't fix it at all. I took it to an asian computer repair place we have down here. As I was told by one of them the problem was " you fhuse behn ou, you nehd new fhuse, we instahl ohne, cost toohunded dollah"

So apperently something somewhere burned out and needed to be replaced, they did some stuff to it and then if worked. Sorry I wasen't able to help more.
