    HP 513W - ?.
Don't bother, spend your wedge on something more interesting than PCs.
Save your cash until your able to upgrade the full lot. It's too basic to bother.

    IMHO.

you'd have to go with a PCI graphics card - as custor said, you might be better off saving your cash for a bigger upgrade in the future

Sorry to be a bit dismissive m8. You know how quickly hardware ages these days. It'd be a decent PC two years ago. I'm sure it's fine for most every day applications like Word and Internet browsing, it's just that 'games' take up so much more.
CPU is not bad. 1.8 Ghz will still run most everything.
RAM is the slowst DDR available which is a bad starting point, but very cheap to add another 256 You should be able to pick up another stick for free from a mate. I've given my 2100 DDR away as no one uses it in new machines. Nip into those second hand places or even PC World or whatever where they have service departments and try your luck. Keep to the line that "no one buys that stuff anymore" and think lucky. Try not to BUY it new.

What is in the onboard Graphics at the moment? You can get some half decent integrated GPUs.

Mobo would be great if it just had an AGP port. Integrated everything is fine unless you're a real audiophile. Do you know if it's a 'MicroATX' size?.....looks like this http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproductdesc....-186-020&DEPA=0 with three white slots at the bottem compared to this http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproductdesc....-121-190&DEPA=0 with six. Thing is if you buy a PCI card then you wont be able to use it again as they will be totally obselite.

OK ignoring all the above advice *NTW*
You are on a strictly limited budget and you just really want to buy a damn card as I'm not Bill Gates try this one http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc....-140-041&depa=1 together with one of these http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc....-159-104&depa=1. That should bring you in on budget. Previous buyer feedback appears good.
Benchmark of card here but check the rig they benchmarked on and bear in mind that a LE eddition on a PCI will be slightly slower. http://graphics.tomshardware.com/graphic/2..._charts-02.html.

Without alot more cash for a new mobo/ram/graphics m8 to completley overhaul (replace) your system then the best is the lower section above sticking more RAM and a PCI card in then call it quits.
That is IMHO of course. Other thoughts from the forum?

Chipset is the socket you plug your CPU into on your motherboard. It defines what CPU's can physically fit into your motherboard and the speed at which the CPU can run.
    Yours is a 845GL http://www.intel.com/design/chipsets/845GL/
