No, because that takes a unit slot. We don't have any to spare. In addition our mod deals with a specific timeframe - adding in units outside of that timeframe for fun is something that CA does well, not us.

In this release, please clean up the mess of units you guys have for each faction. Custom battles are a joke in Europa Barborum because of the amount of units in each one, many of them recruitable by every faction. I don't know if it was a bug I had, but I was able to recruit gallic units as the Seleucids.

There's a custom EDU for custom battles in EBI - just use the EB Multi Player shortcut rather than the EB Single Player shortcut for custom battles in 1.1.
So this is during the barbarian invasion time period?
Why not make one lorica segmentata model, and you will see it very rarely.I mean, 1-2 per unit.Or more.If so how many?
Alright we'll do it. You've persuaded us with your strong arguments on the historicity of such a conclusion. I can't believe we've been so blind for so long. An armour that likely was never used in large quantities and certainly never appeared until right at the end of our time frame certainly deserves inclusion so as to be fully representative of an army that made heavy almost exclusive use of chainmail.
No, I'm just playing with yer. Lorica Segmentata won't be making it in. Unfortunately we are aesthetical idiots and only use the ugliest armours for our models. Thats why our Celts aren't equipped with armour reminiscent of warhammer space marines. We are good at history though, thank god.

LS was armour for mass-production so it doesn't make sense for it to appear on a single soldier in a unit. Presumably the entire unit would be kitted out in it. Nor do I think it possible to make it that rare: you'd need fifty chainmail skins in addition to the LS one. I don't think the skin files can be that big.
The issue of LS has been raised so often that the team apparently got fed up with it. I know I am. Hence Foot's not very friendly reply.
We would be fine with it if the arguments in favour all just didn't devolve into "Yeah, but it looks awesome!". Its kinda annoying.

Sorry if I offended you, I just wanted to make a proposal .....
And I'm not some guy that would criticize people for making some "uncool"(fanboy expression?) looking armor.....

I think you should not take it personaly GreatOne, because Lorica Segmentata is a sensitive topic argued sinse the very beginning of EB and other mods about Rome.
Actualy I know there is some now research about lorica segmentata - History is not a stable science - witch include them around year 0 but datation is not a sure thing too and lorica segmentata is a big evolution of roman armors which should not be treated lightly ; that's why EB team does not include it in the game I think.
About armors and weapon, I want to thank you, EB Team, for you decision to varry the type of armors and weapons in an unit. It is a thing that must be done to be respectfull of ancient armies... and medieval armies too !
I just said to myself several month ago it was too bad the units were composed of same peoples with same weapons and almost same armors in every mods for every Total Wars.
Please have all my best wishes for your work !
Interesting, where did you read this? It's a pretty safe bet that LS was in use before AD 9 (after all, it can't just be the first or only suit of LS that was dug up at Teutoburger forrest), but the issue is it's importance, not it's date. The impression is LS was pretty rare in Augustean armies, and would never surpass LH as the main armour used. Yes, most history books will display LS, but many if not most legionairs would have worn chainmail even when LS was at it's most popular.

Hello !
Can't find references, I remember seeing them on an late ancient forum quoting a specialist historian but I think the forum went down and when I saw this Rome was not one of my historical passions as it can be now... Sorry !
Plus, I agree with you for all your words.
Out of curiosity, would LS have been issued alongside LH or would it have been issued on its own?
Will you implement stone forts into the game? And if you do, will player be able to build them, or will it be like in Britannia’s campaign where forts are just there and you can’t build them?
