So you don't like math? Who does?

The most advanced (math-wise) is the economy, and I do all that for you. Beyond that creating ships take some thought, but not pain no gain. The latest version of ship-design is incredibly easy, foolproof even.

The most math-intensive thing you do is calculating how long it takes to fly somewhere in the galaxy. That takes the understanding of the pythagorean thereom, which everyone learned in like 7th grade.
disregard that, its even easier than that now.

The best part is designeing your own civilization, so to get started you can use other people's civilization pages as an example.

The most important element you need is creativity, without it you won't enjoy it.

Yeah, pretty much. The cool thing is, Stellar Alliances is the only game that is actually possible in reality. (not fantasy, or rewriting history) So it tends to attract different people (in a good way)

Strong advice, dont copy-paste civilizations from other places. Although I highly suggest you borrow heavily (because its hard to find truly custom stuff out there). Instead of Coruscant, maybe you could do the Earth Republic or something, maybe Earth has become a city-planet? (Earth has always been left out of SA, dont know why...)

See just take ideas, twist them, and they become yours.

What Sidmen said.....I had the earth empire/federation collapse in my nations history so it doesn't cause any problems if we get several civilizations originating from earth.

Its really a good thing that no-one has earth. Someone might discover it when exploring
..and this would be significant for earth originated factions, creating nice tensions especially if some other than earth originated discovers it.

I am guessing since you are the Centauri, you are based around the star Alpha Centauri (your position of choice was coincidentally exactlly the same as reality).

If you look at a map of the milky way galaxy (we are playing in it btw), it will show where the sun is located. Alpha Centauri is the nearest star to the Sun, etc etc. Basically you are the closest of all the factions....very close.

The droid armies are pretty badass, except their vehicles.

you could devise any race to use their ships and troops tho, they needen't be the CIS
