Would you look at that? I know this may be a bit OT, but would it be sensible for me to mod out the Billmen (thus leaving the Bill Militia for cities) and Heavy Bill Militia (leaving the Heavy Billmen for castles) to free up 2 slots? I looked at them, and the two similarly armored units are similar enough that I don't see the point of having 4 slots just for billmen.

Havent tried england yet, but KK you have SOLVED the xbow riddle. Playing as KoJ(btw where's good ol baldwin the leper?) my order crossbows have been seen to MURDER incoming infantry. 2x units of xbows withered a full unit of saracen militia down to 50 men before they could reach the battleline.

Maybe that doesnt seem like much, but where you made me all happy inside was the last volley. A third of the remaining men were cut down, whomever was left standing was crushed by the now charging dkj. Brilliant.

In my campaigns, Scotland owns England all the time. Ireland also easily pushes England off the island. I like it that way too . They only have 1 settlement left on the british isles, it'd be so funny if Scotland made England their vassal...

I'm liking the idea of having bill militia for cities and heavy billmen for castles. Maybe start them out with light mail and be able to upgrade to partial plate (in castles).

In my non-England campaigns, England usually dominates the British Isles.

Same here, England has whole of brittain, has left the Irish alone, and owns Northern france as well, the scottish have two cities left, Antwerp and some other.

He died in 1185. The late era in the game starts in 1220.

If I remember correctly, just go to the descr_unit file and edit out the units you want removed.
I haven't modding in about a year so I might get the name wrong of the file, but it is something like that/

No one. I send her up to Norway then to Denmark then up to Russia getting trade rights etc from the Kingdoms i between.

I use my diplomat for that. I can get me a good general for her.

I send my Diplomat down through france into Italy then over into the Holy lands.

I never steal Generals, waste of time IMO.

Marriage Alliances for me. Not a single marriage alliance has betrayed me.

I take them. Since the AI gets a boast as well there are hundreds of good generals around.
