Are there any other download links available? I can't download it from filefront it says: "Your download has failed. There were no available download servers." I kept trying again but didn't work, and the torrents don't exist anymore.

One thing bothers me: when i take a look at the building browser there r always missing troops u can use in custom battles - like in cities' barracks u can always recruit for example only spear militia and crossbow militia - r the rest of the troops coming available later on :hmmm:?

You probably have real recruitment installed. Check that mods thread in the submods forum for details.

events.dat is the file you are looking for, not .data.

Yes it does, however you need to run SS from the MTW2 Launcher instead of using the shortcut.

Vista stores some files as "compatibility files" in a separate directory. The files you want could be in there. I can't give you specific details because I dont use Vista. Do a search for "vista" or compatibility files" on this forum and you'll find something

My apologies in advance for not looking through the countless pages that might be relevant to my question. Is the late era campaign only playable once the early era campaign has been completed, or is there something wrong when the game crashes from the loading screen of the late era campaign? I select the late era campaign option, get to the menu that looks like the historical battle one, click next and I crash straight to desktop.

(I'm posting here because I'm not sure if this is a bug or not )

It's the most reported bug ever. Can't be fixed (no SS's fault). If you click too many factions on the selection screen the game will crash. Just make your selection quickly and start the game. And please use the search function before posting

If you are having problems with downloading the mod files can you state if you are using a download manager please.

I understand that filefront can be very awkward with certain DL managers, and even recent changes to Opera seem to have messed up FlashGet as well.

Can someone help me, I downloaded part 1 and 2 and patch 6.1 to my medieval 2 folder, and when I select the kingdoms launcher, it is not launching. Is there supposed to be a shortcut? I am totally lost. Help!!!!!

Did you install the mod or just download it? If you installed it there should be a shortcut on your desktop. If not, you have to double click on each of the files you downloaded to install SS.
