RS startup problem

Ok I've downloaded RS and I've just installed a clean version of RTW patched to 1.3 and then 1.5. I installed RS and everything seemed to work fine and the RS shortcut came up after installation. It said everything was installed fine etc. I clicked on the shortcut and it said it was searching for RomeTW.exe and the game didn't come up. Then I clicked on the the reg RTW shortcut and it said this shortcut no longer worked properly. Then I started it up through the disc drive and the menu came up asking if I wanted to play RTW which I did and the game just never starts up. Help please???

You probaly installed RS in the wrong area. Do not install it in the data folder. Install it in the RTW folder.

I did... I thought that might have been the problem also but its def in the RTW folder??? Any other sugg??? I'm dying to play this mod... I've heard great things lol

Whereever you installed the mod, and it is the wrong place, does not have a RomeTW.exe file, that is why you get the browse message.

Hmmmmm I'll reinstall RTW but I know it's in my main RTW folder... maybe that folder got screwed up when I uninstalled BI??? I'll give it a try and see what happens lol

If your running Vista you need to right click the .exe set to service pack2 and then run as adminstrator by right clicking as well.

Ohhhhh yeah I'm running Vista!!! What about this service pack 2 thing??? I know about the run as administrator thing

Yeah so jk I got it working lol... somehow parts of the exe file got deleted when I uninstalled BI. Thx guys!!!

Hasn't bothered me much yet... mostly all I have to do is run as the administrator and everything is fine. I've never not been able to play a mod because of it... its not that bad lol
