Medieval Map

Ok i searched and didn't find anything and right now i don't know if I searched good but I wanna know if there's any mod so that you can have the old map ..this:

nope no such mod as far as i know.

main problem is that the m2tw/rome map is tile based (like a chess board) and the shogun/medieval map is region based (like a risk map)

I wonder how difficult it would be to make a MTW 2 campaign map that looked like the MTW 1 map... that'd be pretty sick

It would be impossible. For one, the water moves, so even if you used a old map-esque texture for the water and disabled the waves(I think this is possible), you still wouldn't achieve the same effect, and especially not the writing on the map. The land look might be possible with a ridiculous amount of changes using dynamic ground types through geography_db changes, but all in all not worth it.

What would be good is the same shape of the map at least with the same boundaries for the regions...

Why would anyone bother to bring old map back, it really sucks in compare to the M2TW map.

I like the old MTW map too.

Looks more authentic, and altogether more fitting to the Middle Ages.

The MTW2 map is painfully atmospheric-killing.

i remederd the old times , it was good times , but the M2tw map looks better

The first medieval was so moody, I loved it but I think we're showing our age... I agree I would love it if we could the old campaign map but expanded like in XL but with today's battle graphics. I also miss being able to only ransom the nobles back and kill of the rest so grim
