What is Mount&Blade?

Found this through a link off another post and I can't get a clear picture of what exactly it is. Is it a mod? Can anyone give me a link to a page with a run down/synopsis? You all look very pleased with whatever it is.

Its a game still in develepment that you can get for 80% of retail by downlaoding it. Its like an RPG but no magic, and only one charchterno real storyline per say either.

There isn't much of anything, really.

But the things that are there are so unbelievably fun, that its my favourite game (I'm sure others would agree).

Plus there are tons of great mods out there, and a thriving modding community, if you get bored with vanilla.

It's free (isn't it still?).....and it's fun. It's a first person medieval combat festival, really. And a great control configuration, hacking/slashing/stabbing with mouse movements. It's pretty cool.

I had the demo it only went up to level 6 or so. Paid the money. It was worth it.

Well welcome to the forum!

To answer your question, Mount&Blade is a pre-release Medieval Combat Simulation with Role-playing elements. You can download it for free and I believe that you can play up to level 10 at which point you have a choice of purchasing for only a percentage of the set cost of the game upon final release which I may add by the way is coming very soon. So if you really like it you should buy it now as then you will be entitled to a life time of updates or at least as long as they continue to release them.
