    Default Magyar Mod in Stainless Steel!?!

    Hi Csatádi I like your mod but I have one Question/favor is there anyway you could be talked into doing a Magyar min mod for S.S 6.0 when it comes out? Hungary in one of my favorite factions but I just can't stop playing SS lol if not its cool.

    The skins from the mod are in Stainless steel. Unfortunately the family tree and new units aren't though...

    Actually... I don't remember. People usually ask for the shields.
    There are good stuffs to Hungary in certain mods so maybe I will ask for some.
    I was wondering only why SS didn't included the proper family tree etc.

    Yeah Stainless Steel has been very unit oriented, and only really has started focusing on things like family trees with the up and coming 6.0, so we might see some more of your work on the next version. I can't blame you for forgeting I have seen this mod's skins on about five other mods alone.

    I think if someone want to make a historical mod he has a lot of possibility to get the relevant datas. You can give these to the SS guys if you want it. You can find these in the folder 'How to mod Hungary?".

    A lot of mods asked permissions so there is no problem.

    I , personelly hate SS, because of it historical uncorrectness, and these units are MY work. I'm nost spending nearlly 8 months for reaserch,to see my work inmplemented in a fantasy mod.

    Well, let me explain what has been going on at SS. The latest patch will have new unit rosters for the Byzantine and Russian factions. I have developed a sub-mod that starts the campaign at 1100 AD with the crusader states already in place and the Knights Templar removed as a faction. Currently, I am working on another submod which would have the Timurds in for the Knights Templar and Georgia in for Ireland. I appreciate for point of view-the fantasy aspect always bothered me too. However, I thought that having a historically accurate Hungarian/Magyar faction would greatly enhance what we are trying to do with the game. Thanks for your time.

    Well, I would at least like your opinion about how we can change the Hungarian faction. What would they have called themselves in the medieval time? And what would the wider world have referred to them as? Also, in terms of recruitment, SS is using vanilla units and vanilla buildings. Would these be different and how? I am redoing the building recruitment system for western factions but am not knowledgeable about central/eastern factions. Any help would be great.

    The biggest problem with Stainless steel is the terrible campaigne map..... it is completely un historical... yea the cities are correct but provincial boundries in that mod are laughable at best. It needs to be fixed by someone willing to do the research. The concept of SS is good... a place were all mods can meet and converge, but it will never be a historically accurate campaign unitl the campaign map is changed.

    dont forget king kong is only one guy who made such a massive mod, he is a great modder but he cant do the research and the modding on his own.

    I like the concept of this mod, only thing annoying me is that its to much based on hungary (unit modding wise). I mean look at those beautiful hungarian skins and then look at the rest, vanilla units!

    Maybe import some work from other mods? Rusichi should be your prime candidate. But again I dont know the plans of the modders here!

    I bet even madtao would be willing to share his work with this team.

    I gave him many infos for correction Poland in SS according to historicity. He accepted it, promised to take suitable improvements but then... did nothing. Despite me reminding him about it. So I guess he simply didn't care and was just politically correct towards me... Yes, King Kong is a great modder, he made some spectacular mod. But historicity is definitely not what he aimed in. Maybe that is why he abandoned his medieval project SS and has made Third Age recently?

    I suggested two kind of historical more correct division of the map of Hungary. King Kong ignored these. After this I didn't care giving help to SS.
