I have rework my mod to work with Kingdoms.
First off, THIS IS NOT IN ANYWAY HISTORICLY CORRECT. I WAS NOT TRYING TO MAKE IT THAT WAY, JUST ADDING THE SAXONS BACK INTO THE GAME AS A PLAYABLE FACTION. YOU MUST HAVE KINGDOMS INSTALLED WITH THE LATEST PATCH FOR THIS TO WORK.
Now that Kingdoms has been out for a while, and I've gottin back into this game now that my RL issues have worked out for the most part, I have continued to work on this. It is a copy of the Britannia Campaign with a few modifications. The biggest part being, adding the Saxons to it.
Now, in order to make this somewhat of a small file, there are some things that need to be done in order to get this mod to work.
Firt off, go to your default location for Medieval II Total War. For most, it will be C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War
Once there, double click on the "mod" folder. Look for the folder "british_isles". Copy it, then paste it back in that same directory. So it should look like this after you paste it in the same "mod" folder. "Copy of british_isles"
Now rename it to "Saxons". Once you've done that, just double click the exe file you just downloaded. Click yes to the message that pops up to overwrite the files, and you should be set!
I didn't change anything else to the campaign, so William Wallace will still show up and all that other good stuff.
Any questions, please ask.
