Okay, so Ive got a wireless LAN set up at home, with this desktop connected to it through a US Robotics card. The problem is this: The connection speed WILDLY fluctuates while Im online. It used to be normally sitting at 54Mbps, but now its bouncing all over between 54Mbps and 11Mbps. Does anyone have any ideas on how to settle this thing down?

By the way, it started doing this when I was forced to get a new motherboard (the other one decided to just...crap out), I just cant figure out what the frickin deal is now.

what channel does your wireless router operate on? if it's 2.4GHz then you're in trouble as it can interfere with 2.4GHz phones and/or microwave ovens. If that's the case, try switching your wireless router to other channels (check your documentation) and check the connection speed. If that doesn't solve it, try buying a 5.8GHz phone and check your speed again. If it doesn't work, simply return the phone.

Also, how far are you from your wireless router? Distance and wall(s) has TONS to do with your speed.
