Correct me if I'm wrong, but this mod was originally made for Barbarian Invasion yes? So will it have the same unit models/ skins as for barbarian invasion... or will they be the more 3D ones used in M2TW?

Basically we converted our RTW models to work with M2TW. Since the new enigne allows ot have models with multiple and alternaitve items, we are adding some variety inside each model ...however I'm happy enough to have the entire range of our old RTW models converted for the new game, since I spent more than two years to make them

Do I understand you correct? Do you simply take the models of the RTW-version and use them for the MTW2-version?
The screenshots aren't bad, but could you change the faces of the models?

will the Very Early legions be in the game? they were in use at the end of the 3rd Punic war.
No, the game ends just before historically the 1st Punic war erupts. You will be able to start first Punic war with the Poeni as soon as you would like in the mod or should I rather say as soon as you are able to... Roman units are Camilian's soldiers troughout the entire mod.
super things guys
2 years? :o maaaan, that deserves more then just some rep!!!! (though it is the only thing i can give you )
The VE legions or very early legions were a heavy infantry a very early form of of the roman legionaries if you want i could get some information on the earliest form of them. Al tho scence the mod does not span the 3rd Punic war the VE legions would not be in use yet x.x
I'm not sure what legions you're referring to. The republican pre-Marian legion of hastati/principes/triarii is what we'll have in our mod (along with the additional Camillan lines, the accensi etc).
Do you have any pics of these units, I don't believe I have ever seen them.
Who was this addressed to? If to me, you can see a few of the Roman units in preview1, and a more qualified Roman preview will be coming at some point soon.
If I'm not entirely confused, the romans employed hoplites, Greek-style, before altering their tactics to employ more mobile forces, in order to face up to the gallic tribes. The spear turned into the pila.
Well, kind of. Pila are attested to all over Italy, so it is not unlikely that even in hoplite period Roman soldiers threw pila. In fact, not a few of the hoplite units in our mod (non-Roman) will indeed have access to throwing pila. The Roman difference was that they were one of the few to combine pila with heavy infantry and combine that with regimentalization and mobility, and also that they innovated the structure of the pila to be more than a plain javelin.
According to Livy, by the start date of our mod the Roman infantry had already adopted the "manipular" deployment in his first shape, the so called "Camillian" Legion, wich included the three successive lines of Hastati, Principes and Triarii but also formations of Rorarii (light infantry) Leves (skirmishers) and Accensi (levy reserve troops).
Plium type javelins were found in Italic warriors burials dating back before the adoption of the manipular legion, but probably the mass-adoption of that weapon appened together with the introduction of the manipular legion and a contestual progressive standardization of the equipment.
