Former RTR PR Guy & Beta Tester:
A great book. It offers information not only on the Treaty of Versailles but deals with all the treaties which involved the participants of WW1 and the newly created states, such as Hungary, Austria, Poland etc.
Just finished, in fact.
I loved that book. Much better than 1984, imo.
I trust I make myself obscure.

The Incredible Shrinking Man
“Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.”
― Mark Twain
I just finished...
(Though I read it on my Kindle)
Now I've decided to read this book since I know very little about the subject. It's pretty short so I'll probably finish it in a few nights.
After that I think I'll read this next since I've been meaning to and honestly want to know more about the struggle for my country's independence.
BWB, I read that Tuchman book. I don't know that much about the Middle Ages and a friend's mom had that book, explaining to me it's what she read for a class in college. It's full of a lot of interesting information and the way she separates the book by subject makes a lot of sense and keeps the book fresh. Tell me what you think of it.

A Distant Mirror is tremendous. I'm going to reread it in the near future to reinforce the interesting tidbits.

I'm glad to have found another French author I can get into as easily as Molière. I was getting a little bored of reading plays, even if his are genuinely hilarious. Zola's fairly austere style combined with a well-paced narrative means I'll probably be done with it before long.

It's a classic. Second time I'm reading it, first time was probably 7 or 8 years ago.

Islamophobia - noun,
Ironic device by which people from Islamic Countries, where conversion to Christianity or Judaism would put their life at risk, complain that people complaining about Islamic violence are violent.
Ex : Women can't participate in Gaza Marathon, but talking about it would be Islamophobic.
