The Etruscans - Michael Grant

"They took my fries. I took their lives."
Informative and filled with british wit. I read through it again and again.
Picked this up at my local used book store....so far so good.
Cantor's very pleasant to read. As well as some other stuff on sexuality which I shan't post images of here. Long and Sedley is great for philosophy; so is Inwood and Gerson.
As a teenager, I was taken to various houses and flats above takeaways in the north of England, to be beaten, tortured and raped over 100 times. I was called a “white slag” and “white ****” as they beat me.

Delhi by Kushwanth singh, A good book ,it can help you learn a lot about Medieval north India. Also it has a lot of mentions of his sexual escapades[honestly I think he should have called it "my sexual adventures in Delhi" and that could allow for an appropriate squeal " The STD's I caught in Delhi"]
I couldn't resist of taking another King's book. This time a novel collection with 14 stories.
"They took my fries. I took their lives."
Also got a couple of Osprey books, one on the Red Army 1944-45 and one on the HRE forces of the 30 Years War.
You'll have more fun at a Glasgow stabbing than an Edinburgh wedding.
Under the patronage of the mighty Dante von Hespburg
Bought this using a token I received for Christmas. Hope it's good - this is a period I know only sketchy details of.
I'll be adding this to my wishlist!

"They took my fries. I took their lives."
It's an enjoyable read (and includes a section by Peter Brown)! I wish that some of the other contributors provided more citations, though. It would be more useful than the current, "One of the philosophers said that..."; GREAT. WHICH PHILOSOPHER AND WHERE *cries*
