That's good to hear, you'll only have Spartan Royal Guard for your generals, so killing them off like Leonidas will leave you without Spartans - good side is that they regenerate troops and eventually you'll have a very strong infantry unit.

I also recommend trying out Gauls or Germania, if you ever get bored with the Greeks.. Dacia is also a lot of fun to play.
I'll be releasing a complete v0.9 install in a couple of days, which will change a lot of things and makes the gameplay a lot more fun.

Awesome I can't wait!!! This is a great mod Red Fox you did awesome work. I know you have the Perioki hoplites but are you considering just adding a mainstay Spartan unit such as the Homoioi equals??? Cause I mean technically the Perioki hoplites weren't Spartan citizens...

I could add a generic Hoplite with a spartan skin, but I doubt I'll work on a brand new unit. Shouldn't be too hard to get a good generic spartan hoplite.
Though they won't be as awesome as the Royal Guard... just regular infantry.

how does it work the spartan royal guard as generals ? their coming of age has to be in sparta ?

fox said that every generals get em..however mine's doesnt seem to be getting teh SPGs. I've installed 0.92 and patched to 0.93b.

Is there anything that i missed?

Just check the two generals near Sparta. They both have the Spartan Royal Guard. Any new family member recruited by those two generals (benefactors) also gets the Royal Guard.

Granted, I don't have the latest patch installed (been focusing on campaigns in XGM and RoP), but if I'm understanding what SpartanWarriorXI is saying, he's playing Sparta as an independent faction?! Or just role-playing Sparta with the indie Greeks?

Spartan, it's just GCS. But you still can make Sparta centre of the world. Make it your capital and kill all non-spartan-ish generals.

the're bodygaurd is spartan royal gaurd,instead of cavarly

Put your general outside your city and open up his scroll, then hit the guard unit icon in the bottom left to see what bodyguard units hes got =)

Pleasures: If you didn't notice yet, the general's guard is rather big - 65 soldiers. That is because it's an infantry bodyguard unit -> Spartan Royal Guards.
