Carthage by far. Varied combat, multiple fronts, multiple strong enemies and a very enthusiastic announcer.
I love all the factions, as they all have a different way of combating.
Macedon!!! or the Seleucids. Reconquering Alexander the Great's empire is always a fun task.

it is nice to be important, but it is more important to be nice.

Ah only 4 for Macedonia i love there units and there style of warfare what can I say...
I went for Macedon, although it was a close call between them and the Seleucids.
As far as I can tell, Macedon lacks the powerful and varied hoplites of the GCS, but in my opinion more than makes up for this with the Agema Hypaspists, who have stats rivalling the tougher hoplite units, combined with the benefit of using swords and having pila-equivalents. Since spear-armed units get massive bonuses against cavalry anyway, I find the standard hoplites to be more than capable of dealing with any heavy cavalry threat, while the Agema Hypaspists are more effective against enemy infantry. Macedon should also have a slight advantage over the GCS in terms of the power of their heavy cavalry (Companion Cavalry, which I think the GCS lack), phalangites (Foot Companions, at least until the Marian reforms and Spartan Phalangites) and skirmisher cavalry (Thessalian cavalry). Macedon also gets the unique Kestros Slingers, which I haven't had the opportunity to try out yet, but which should add an interesting bit of foot skirmisher variety.
GCS always! I love Spartans!
Voted Carthage, although I wanted to vote for some others, Ptolemais and Iberia are neglected.
I mean Scythia and Ptoleimaic Empire.

Scythia! Well come on admit it, It's damn near impossible to defeat her with those HAs and I actually had fun playing them... DEATH TO THE ENEMIES OF THE HORDE!
