Vista Issue?

Hi,

I have just unpacked the British Isles folder, started at 915mb, its still 915mb - am I doing something wrong? should the size go up?

Also I cannot find the geography files anywhere :hmmm:

This certainly sounds like a vista unpacking issue. Try the following:

Brill, I got the game up and running but it crashes when loading a battle.

Geography files?

I deleated them

Geography files should be deleted in both the MTW2 folder and the Kingdom of the Scots folder. Don't forget to delete the map.rwm from the base folder as well in the kingdom of the scots folder!

I'm glad I bought another XP this year instead of upgrading too!

hmm, deleated both sets of geography files and the map file but still crashes as soon as a battle loads.

- shared.sd
- strategy.sd
- battle.sd

?

Has anyone with Vista got this mod? Could you please post a walkthrough on how to install it?

If you have precisely followed the installation instructions and have unpacked correctly this mod should work with vista. Hopefully we will sort this out for you!

it has alot of errors..you should have wait to the next vista version..

Re-installed 5 times now, followed everything to the letter but no luck, battles still crash :hmmm:

Ah ha! got it working now!

It seems I needed to delated the unpacked temp folder, damn Vista hides things deep in the system!
