What am I missing? -MC's Music ReMix

I have Gold Edition with RTW and BI on different disks.
Install order:

RTW 1.0
B.I. (I think its 1.3 or 1.4, whatever is stock)
B.I. 1.6 Patch
RTRPE 1.9 Mod switch version

I had no music in the game...no tracks in the data/sounds/music folder. I tried to install MC's Music ReMix to fix. events.dat and events.idx were renamed (properly) events_backup.dat and events_backup.idx. The descr_sounds_music appears alright but there is still no music in game. Any ideas?

You were supposed to do something with the descr_sounds_music I think but I don`t remember what. Maybe move it inside the RTRPE sub-forum of the mod switch... Not sure though so be careful to make backups. If anyone else remembers what it was I`m gonna note the answer this time and added it to the guides.

You need to copy ReMix's data/descr_sounds_music.txt to RTRPE/data/ (override the old one).

PS: the vanilla music files are not present as individual .mp3 but as one big packed file.

Btw, is this the solution to get the vanilla music too? I mean to copy the vanila descr_sounds music to RTRPE/data and not having to install a music mod.

Yes but it shouldn't be needed as the file already exists in RTR; Vanilla music is only disabled by fake events.dat/.idx (the 0-bytes files).
