    Default Starting Diplomacy

We should think of the starting alliances, battles etc...

A question to modders : how can we make factions to be vassal of another faction ?

I'm afraid it is impossible, you can only use allied_to and at_war_with. As far as I know...

I'm no great coder but in RTW I think there is a script to make a vassalage of a state. I play MTW2 quite alot and in the diplomacy tab it shows which factions are vassals. Maybe you could make it a predisposed scenario??

No clue just I'm sure if you can make it ingame you can make some sort of trigger to do it.

I agree with Cimbye. Vassals will be:

    Bohemia under HRE

Serbia under the Eastern Roman Empire (Byzantine)

The latter shouldn't be that hard, and again im no coder but I know of some mods starting with a faction already allied with another...

Perhaps with a script we can make vassal.

I also think, we should perhaps forget a bit history, because if there is no independant faction at the beginning it will be strange ?

Allied with or at war with from start is no problem, that can be done in the descr_strat

hmm Bohemia - vassla of HRE... it will be too difficult to decline the vassalship for the small country.. isnt better only to set some tribute for amount of turns in the begining?

Yes there is a way somehow to put in the diplomacy screen that they are a vassal.

In vassal we can make it they must pay royalties as I said before to HRE. Being a Vassal they have the protection of the HRE. But once they get powerful enough they can go off their own tangents me thinks

If they decline royalties, they go to war. Simple as that I think.

Ay thanks King Yngvar Thought there would be something as easy as that
