How you hotseated guys play the battles? I've seen mostly rules with autoresolve off... :hmmm:
Hope you dont play clickfest, in real time against each other.

Well, battles should be played separately from the campaign - hopefully CA will merge them in Empire... To date I have had no online real-time battles, but would be probably willing to have some after 6.0 will be released.
yep that would be pretty cool,
Thnx for your thoughts guys, but that still doesn't answer the q: how u play battles in hotseat?
Sry for being so thick, but I've never even tried it in TW game...

The attacker play it out against the other player's AI. I know, that is bad, but CA decided that was wise for some reason I don't know.
Well, I explained it somewhere - you CAN actually make the defensive battles playable, but this will lead to chaos in turn order.
Explain your theory on it... I have thought of it myself, but that involves hosting a custom battle online. Only problems are:
1: General's stats are taken out of the context.
2: If the general die in custom battle, he will still be alive -> you cannot disband the general as you can disband units.
3: While disbanding units you can only disband whole units, meaning that you can't take every number into consideration.
No, not players vs player, but just defensive battles vs the AI - appropriate on same PC, but not online... And custom battling the campaign battle clone is just too cumbersome to perform, especially taking in mind your cons.
