Will Rebels have Clan Names?

I noticed when playing 2.2 that rebels were all Clan Home and the chief was always "[Firstname] Home". Does this mean you will eventually replace Home with smaller, non-playable clans?

Will it work, say, that one particular rebel province will become rebels under the name of say, Clan Ferguson and their governer say Alexander Ferguson, while another might be rebels of the name Clan MacFarlane under Edward MacFarlane, even though they are all rebels?

That would be a brilliant addition, and make up for the fact that only the major-clans will be playable. If it is planned, do you have a list of what clans might be included as "rebels"?

Clan Home features in the Border areas, but if your were in the highalnds there would be other clan names in 2.2. Here is the complete 2.2 list:

In MTW2 & Kingdoms, the rebels have had the family trees disabled, and enabling them causes ctd's. So it is unlikely unless I find a way that they'll have whole rebel clans.

Yes, you're right that was a typo, it should have said Edinburgh and Berwick.

I'll admit, my knowledge of Clans is limited. But are these all just the major clans or are you attempting to portray most of them?

I say this because I know my family's clan is that of Johnstone, but in gaelic pronounced is MacIain. Most were either in Aberdeenshire or in Caskieben.

Is something like that more like a lesser clan?

Yes, it will be just the major clans for starters, up to about 10 I think, when Bruce has made his big map.

The Johnstones will feature in the Big Map on the Scottish Borders and in Aberdeenshire, but they will be a Rebel Clan (towns).
