Default A List of History's Biggest "House Negroes."

[DO NOT DELETE, THIS IS NOT RACIST, I AM A NEGRO MYSELF, SOMETIMES]

I compiled a list of the biggest house negroes in recent history. Me and my boss were having this conversation one day and we decided to embark on this exciting journey.

#1) Mahatma Ghandi, for personally asking the British to allow him and his Indian fellows to help suppress the Bambatha Rebellion. And for endorsing the British war on the Blacks as well as campaigning against even the non-violent Black Civil Rights Movement in SA. What a coward and a fine boot licker, well deserving.

    http://www.gandhism.net/sergeantmajorgandhi.php

#2) Martin Luther King, not only for being a morally corrupt "leader" but also for holding back the REAL civil rights movement with his backwards, slave mentality based around "turning the other cheek." Sickening propaganda from the CIA's favorite domestic spy. As well as visiting with the filthy and starving attention whore, Mahatma Ghandi.

    Feel free to add.

Ghandi was most certainly not a Negro, not a house Negro and neither was he an outdoors Negro.
The common culture of a tribe is a sign of its inner cohesion. But tribes are vanishing from the modern world, as are all forms of traditional society. Customs, practices, festivals, rituals and beliefs have acquired a flut and half-hearted quality which reflects our nomadic and rootless existence, predicated as we are on the global air-waves.

South Africa wasn't big enough for two minority civil rights movements, and it was invariably a competition. Gandhi and other Indians like him had the idea that they could achieve this through proving themselves worthy working with and alongside the British.

There can be only one, as it where.

Can't really believe I agree with your little dissertation on MLKJ, either.

MLK Jr. certainly had his faults, including plagiarizing part of his doctoral dissertation, but he remains a powerful symbol that continues to inspire people to fight for civil rights. We all do things in life that we're not proud of, but how many of us can claim to have made the difference that MLK did?

    Wilpuri,

Ghandi is an honorary house NEGRO...and if it makes you feel any better, he was a House Indian to be more accurate.

    Sher Khan,

You are correct, there was a major competition between colonized groups in the past and even still today. However, the Black South Africans had the noble and courageous goal of self-determination. Ghandi on the other hand, took the ignoble path. And whether it was politically correct or not, he chose the wrong path. This would not be so bad in my mind, however, he is far too admired for a man who has made such judgment and never repented.

And I never really liked his cowardly approach towards the British.

Another thing me and my boss talked about was this whole non-violence pussbag "resistance" and how little it made sense to us. Ever since I was a young boy, I could not make sense of it. Its not a human thing to be non-violent during times of extreme persecution.

When someone is stepping on your toe, you can't simple ASK them to get off, you MUST PUSH them off. The more you ask, the more time he spends standing on your toe and disfiguring it. Its like waiting for a cancer to go away or praying it goes away, instead of simply working towards a physical and realistic solution, which is WAR.

Neither MLK nor any African-American leader made a difference in America. It was their White supporters that made their soft voices clear.

How can you be a slave one day and make demanding requests the next day? Its absurd. Simple truth is that, Blacks never had power in America nor do they today. They are simply just a shell with no real power. If Blacks had proved to be a real political adversary in years past, like the natives, our government would be dealing with them in a more professional fashion.

Even the tiny natives proved their worth in the political arena and it took a good number of wars and treaties to really silence them, and hell, they got a chunk of the American pie with all the little territories and casinos they've got.

What do African Americans have to show for their worth in contemporary America? Besides Al Sharpton and every other Black politician that we all ignore.

Erm, after the african-americans were granted the right to vote, they had every much ability to effect political change as anyone else who wasn't a politician.
When Jim Crow laws made that extraordinarily difficult, educated blacks, and indeed, white leaders campaigned against them. It's pretty damn insulting you deride the minority like that when they played a role in putting an end to their oppression.

Your interpretation of MLK Jr. and the other black leaders (not to mention the progress it's made) of the civil rights movement (such as W. E. B. Dubois, a freakin' genius) really just kinda reeks that you are not educated in the matter (as your assertion that blacks played no role in the granting of their equal rights as citizens over a period of over a 100 years from emancipation to the modern day and that the federal government EVER treated the native americans with "professionalism" until the modern day, shows)

this really yet another, "gimme a freakin' break" post.

So, even though Mahatma Gandhi was not African, he is considered a negro? His features aren't that negroid at all, infact, if someone didn't know of his Indian heritage, he might pass as a tan Southern European, to some...

I highly respect Martin Luther King Jr. by the way. He led perhaps the most important civil rights movement in all the New World, in the 20th century that is.

Lucius Julius, okay, lets replace "House Negro" with "Uncle Tom" for the sake of accuracy.

Rez, a "House Negro" is exactly what it sounds like. In the days of American slavery, even metaphorically in colonialism throughout history, one member of the colonized or enslaved party would be more friendly to his master and alert his master of any suspicious activity by the other subjects. This subject was given a warm bed in the master's house as opposed to sleeping the barn like the other slaves. This negro thus became the "house negro."

John I Tzimisces, please do not be offended by my next words, but you are a young and misinformed, inexperienced, untraveled young American male under the guidance of countless teachers, doctors, and your parents.

I have experienced life in four different countries, two in Africa, one in Europe, and of course the United States. My family has had many encounters with colonialism, we even have artifacts from the era. This subject is like my calling to home, it is the only thing I am 100% right about, no matter the argument from the other side. Excuse my arrogance, please, but this is my turf and what I have said about African Americans is the absolute truth.

If Barack Obama or a Black leader does not win within the next 3 presidential election periods, than I have zero doubt that African Americans are still to this day, worth 3/5ths of a White American. No doubt.

I live in an average Midwestern city, and I swear to you, by the looks of it and a decade of living here, I think Blacks in apartheid South Africa had more of an advantage than African-Americans. African Americans, by allowing their current state to continue, are literally creating proof for my theory! Just 3 decades ago, Blacks were being humiliated in public in this country and no one gave a damn. No political power and no homeland to retreat to in case things hit the fan. White Americans would have no trouble in re-instituting slavery.

Ask yourself this -- why, after 400 years, do African Americans still fear White authoritative figures (cops, popos, 5-0, pigs, etc.)?? That slave mentality has still not washed off, that is the conclusion you'll come to.

Ah right, so the thread isn't necessarily about black people who were traitors, just traitors, hypocrites or informants in general?

The thread title is insulting, the subject as further explained is insulting, I see no good future for this thread except a lot of heated tempers. If the threadstarter wishes to discuss the topic, perhaps he can find a less contentious way of putting it. Starting with defining the topic before giving some examples would be a good start.
