    Hi,

    I have reinstalled the mod, using my files and It works !!!!

    It works with vista !!! : you must put my files in the same folder than the exe.

    Hi,

    very very bad news for vista's users...
    The game has worked well ONE TIME : I was arrived with success at the selected faction's page
    ...but I have no sound (only the music), so I've quit the game to copy the original sound folder in the sound mod folder. When I've launched the game...IT CRASHED AFTER THE SPLASH !!!

    It crashed...again and again !

    So, the vista CTD is back !!

    I don't understand why it works only one time....

    I'm so sorry my friends ...

    ps : If you want to test my method : just copy my uploaded files (see # 096 in this thread) in the main folder (the same as kingdom.exe and run the game using my bat file)

    If you're experiencing a start-up error, could one of you download these files and place them in your MAIN Medieval II Total Warfolder! Delete the same files that are located in your PDER_1.0 folder. Then use the downloaded .bat file in your main folder to try to launch the game.

    If someone could let me know if this works I'd appreciate it.

    I think the problem is that if a character is a King or Prince his last name isn't displayed. But if he has kids, they will have the surname until they become King or Prince....

    But I haven't played an actual game in so long....

    But once things die down here, I'm doing a Georgian AAR!
    Thats possible though I gave a surname to the English royal family and everyone's surname appears.

    Anyway, I am thinking of doing an AAR over the President's week break. So far I have only played as Aragon which has been fun.

    I am playing England and my female family members are receiving female Aztec names seen here. It is only a problem with the general I acquired by a princess as other have normal english names.

    I experienced a unspecified error. When i started a campaign i was forced to wait about 5-8 minutes for it to start (as expected from previous posts) and when that time pasted i was CTD. Also when i first instaleld the mod and ran it. It stopped immediately and CTD during the main loading screen. It worked when i ran it a second time

    tried it & didnt work... still cant play the mod

    I just tried the campaign and suddently whenever I end turn the screen goes black and the icon spins. It didnt work for Aragon and Norway.

    Btw, I changed the Aragonese surname to de_Aragon and now it appears. Maybe something is wrong with the name Ramirez.

    Hi, Experiencing a few errors but that hopefully should be solved by the fix you posted on the other thread (not tried it yet though).
    But I've also noticed while playing as the Byzantine Empire when I ask for Map Information from the HRE and they grant it nothing happens. I've had no problem receiving map info from other factions, just the HRE.

    Antiac, from the looks of this log file, the problem is with the vanilla animation files? Have you tried to mod these on your own? Or installed any mod that modifies them?

    Check this path and see if these files are present. data\animations\pack.idx and skeletons.idx

    Due to the back ground color of HRE you will not notice any difference on the radar map when you get their map information. If you look closer you will notice the edges of their realm and you should be able to see their cities on the main map.

    M2TW has the nasty habit of removing manual entries in the cfg file. SO:

    make the cfg file read only after you modified it.

    this mod looks nice. but i couldnt play. it quits game at first loading screen with this message:

    "Medieval 2: Total War encountered an unspecified error and now will now exit."

    All my other mods are OK. I see this error only at PDER.

    After that I reinstalled game and I installed PD
    ER over a clean installation of M2TW. But i see this error still.
    I have the same problem.
    Win Xp, unmodded M2+ Kingdoms, Russian localization pack.
    Please help.
