could you add an historical battle to RM2
something like whats in this video
i didn't know you could add more land to the campaign map
until i downloaded EB
that was the first mod i downloaded
and i see you added the Americas
how much land could you add?
if you kept everything like it is in RM2
could you add china and japan to what you already have
or maybe all of Africa
even the rest of the Americas
or how about this
create a new mod for m2tw
but make it like rtw
could you transfer the rtw map to to m2tw
transfer the units
the city's
and every thing else to make it look like rtw
don't change the graphics
then from there add as much land to the campaign map
if you kept the graphics the same as they are in rtw i don't see why you wouldn't be able
to add a map of the whole world to the M2TW campaign map
I'm no mapper, but I believe there is maximum size for a map, something like 510 land tiles.

how small would you have to make the world to fit on 510 land tiles
and could you do it and still make the game fun
you would probably have to make the territories smaller
is there any way that you could get the game to zoom in closer making the map look bigger but use no more than 510 land tiles and have the whole world
maybe you could use the map from civ4
now that would be a good game

Hi my friend,it seems you have a huge number of nice ideas.
RM2 is still a base for the main mod,in july i with RM Team will start a huge hard work on a new RM version.
the territories are very small now,i cant make them smaller,but i still can make the whole map larger (but that is limited too).
in RTW there are many limits,the top number of regions in 200,there are many limits on units and factions in the game.
dont think a lot about making M2TW work in RTW or RTW work in M2TW,thats is useless and nearly impossible because they are using different engines,why you want to run RTW in M2TW (with same RTW graphics and units,map) while you can play the oiginal RTW?
civ4? you mean civilisations IV? nice game,i can do a similar map,civ4 map contains small number of regions.
RTW engine is very confussing,there are many many limits not like M2TW engine,see this:

but I did my best to create a strong base (RM2) for the the Full Mod and i think i succeeded.
PS- sorry,im extremely busy for the three next months (may,april and june) so i will not be able to reply fast.

In the Custom Campaign's High Medieval Age, I was playing a campaign with Scotland. After around 10 turns the game crashed.
you said to delete all the map.rwm
i forgot to read that and continued with my campaign
should i re add the fixes then start a new campaign
or can i just delete all the map.rwm
then start a new campaign without re adding the fixes

Hi,the two fixes are not completely the same,RM2 Hotfix No.2 contains RM2 Hotfix No.1 and No.2 added some missed textures.so the latest Fix cotains all the previous Fixes.
you dont need to reinstall the fix again,just delete map.rwm.

Hi JuliiR-O-R,you installed RM2 in the wrong place,you need to install it in your game directory.
TOLAROscipii,you can change any texts in the game from Text folder in Data,you can change factions names from expanded_bi.txt.
Note:you have to go to RomeMedievalMod/Data/Text if you want to change RM texts.

i changed the byzantine empire to the roman empire
then i opened up all the other text
and changed anything that said byzantine to roman
now how about those other texts
one of the churches has the word gods when it should be god
and a lot of other things in the texts refer to the gods when it should be god
i didn't know the English prayed to the gods of mt olympos
and a few other small things
when added up become big things
oh and when i was playing the English
and i was at war with the Scottish
i had all my troops in Scottish territory
when the rebels decided to attack one of my city's
so i clicked the rebels to see what i was up against
and there where 3 groups of peasants
and a fourth group that looked like peasants
only these peasants didn't have pitchforks they had daggers
and the descriptions said unlocalized displacement text
or something like that
so i sent about 6 groups of peasants
this is all i could spare
the battle started
i charged the enemy
but before my peasants even touched the enemy
they routed
because
the peasants who's descriptions said unlocalized displacement text
where not peasants at all
they where heavy calvary
and i lost the battle
i lost the city
i sent more troops to retake the city
and i did
but the absent of those troops i sent
really hurt me in Scotland
i lost many battles in scotland
and within 12 turns
the game was over
all because of one
unlocalized displacement text
or maybe it said localized displacement text
not really sure
but i think you get my point
all that said
this is still the best mod
Hi,i can see that you are really enjoying the Mod,even those bugs are funny.
your soldiers lied to you and told you that the rebel troops are peasants!!,i think they recieved much money for that.
about the texts,i didnt fix them yet,RM2 is stil a beta.
anyway,dont worry,the thing doesn't worth!!!!

The 'grey peasant' picture means there isn't a unit card for that unit, so before starting a battle check exactly what your up against. As far as I know, 'unlocalised placement text' refers to a unit of rebel Armored Cavalry, there could be more unlocalised placement texts but I haven't found any who aren't Armored Cavalry.
