How To Play Hotseat

Hi I have had CAE for a while now and with 1.4 released I noticed there is a bat file for a hotseat. I cannot figure out how to play this. Help?

run that .bat file, and click in more than 1 faction and start campaign, after the loading this ill show you a screen with settings and faction and space for you set password ...

That means somehow that batch doesn't run,install the mod somewhere else and obtain the batch from it and copy paste it to the one in your current CAE.

Then naturally uninstall the CAE v1.4 that you've installed to that different folder in order to acquire the file.

just wondering if he would have to go through an entire uninstall as shouldn't the hotseat settings be the same as with SS and BC and vanilla?

I'm assuming the .bat was nice way for people to play hotseat without all the trouble of changing their CFG files am I correct on that?

If you need the actual settings see the links in my sig below, but I would ask before changing anything because CAE may use a separate CFG file. Which is still not a problem as it should be the same settings as what I've got in the M2 campaign guide

Ok I got it to work...

I uninstalled CAE and reinstalled it in a different copy of a MTW2 folder

I love hotseat.... it's the best way for me to prove that I'm better than my cousin, neighbour , friends and brother. LOL I like to see them cry....

Hotseat is fun. I am planning to start playing the game again. and I would like to play eatern bloc against the others first I must make some mapping changes if I start playing mtw2 again

I used to play hotseat with my cousin back then.A game called Romance of the Three Kingdoms II in Amiga 500.Once we made a battle against eachother.It was extremely hard..and since it was on the same turn,same battle map when one of us were arranging the fielding of the troops and setting the ambushes,the other had to go and wait in the toilet.Sigh.. Those were the days my friend.. As the song goes.

Now it's impossible to find a single soul to sit and play any game together.

I think it is fun to hang out with friends in real life. But I rather sit down and play with myself. I do like to play hotseat with myself too. because somehow it is still random

It's fun to hang out with friends in real life provided that they don't suck.I haven't played the hotseat with myself just yet but will sure try one day.

Damn..I was always terrible at chess,and constantly got pawned at school with the first 8-10 moves of my foe.

portugal/spain VS mongols...very very balanced choices
