    Default The Ayyubids,Fatimids...

Seeking reallism, and also since our start date is 1095, would it be more accurate if "egypt" become The Ayyubids , The Fatamids...?

Suggestions and info (including flags,or another info are welcome)

    :hmmm:

The Ayyubids for Egypt? They came into being in the latter half of the twelfth century. Maybe it was a typo for the starting date?

Putting the question different, wich the the more accurate name for egypt on this time-frame ?

I believe they should be called al-Fātimiyyūn.

Well,Fatimid and Ayyubid are names of dynasties..The other ones began to reign in 1171. I really have no idea..Maybe we should discuss between Egypt and Mameluks???

Fatimids and Ayyubids were dynasties, not peoples. Call it Egypt. Concidering that the fatimids lost power to the ayyubids in the 1170's it would be silly having a Fatimid Caliphate in when the game has reached that point. If the faction is called Egypt, that would cause no dilemma.

I don't think it would be silly because an event can be set in 1170. to change the name to Ayyubids. One of the marvelous functions of Kingdoms.

I think that would require two faction slots just for Egypt.

No, it wouldn't. That's a good idea Salah al-Din. Perhaps events for dynasty changes could be implement for all factions.

    No, it wouldn't.
Are you absolutely certain? Because if it does not cost extra faction slots, then great, I'm all for it.

To just change the name of a faction mid-game doesn't use a new faction slot does it?
