I had a quick look through all the Pinned Topics, but I didn't find any Modelling Guides, there are some, Right? By the way, if it makes a difference, I have 3DS Max 6.

EDIT: Also, I have just got it, so if they could be a bit precise?

You want to learn how to model???

    HAHA!

Take a class! It'll take you at least 5 months to learn to produce more than a hand...

3dmax is a very sophisticated piece of software. If you know where to look, there are easy ways to learn it, some easier than others.

But if you really want to learn it well... take a physical class with a physcial teacher... That's the only way.

Er... sorry if this is a dumb question but...

I just got into modelling for myself, but my tutorial is running low. Where do people get this thing? I mean, it doesn't seem like a lot of people should have 3,000 dollars just to fork over for a 3d program...

You could always use Blender 3D. Completely free and open source and it has a ton of documentation to use. I learned completely from documentation and I can now model pretty efficiently and thanks to Blender I can model very, very quickly due to its unique UI.

EDIT: holy crap, lol sorry my bad. I misread the time as in Janurary from this year not from 2 years ago. XD Sorry to bump an old thread.
