Default strange problem on KoJ campaign

I was playing KoJ campaign, and after negotiating trade rights with the ERE, I paused for a moment to think about my next moves when I noticed my minimap now looked like this. The year was 1176.

I didn't notice when it happened, o I have no idea what could have caused it, but it happened mid-campaign. It's starting to bother me alot now, as I cannot see the Turks, ERE, or much of the Kypchaks on my map.

Any idea how to fix thi or what may have caused this?

No, that's not what happened, i can still zoom in and out, but there is an extra border that normally isn't there that covers the western part of the minimap

It looks like, for some reason, it added in the extra space in the interface that would hide the new world up until its discovery in the vanilla campaign

but why did it appear all of the sudden mid-campaign?

I fixed it for myself by erasing that texture in ui, it doesn't look as pretty as it should, but it would be nice to know how to prevent this incase it happens to anyone else
