Necroposting is posting in a very old thread and 'raising it from the dead' as it were. Please excuse Cocroach the Great's post. If you read around this thread you will see that this mod is not due to begin modding until AFTER the final release of IJ3 - any day now. So you would expect at least another year before this mod is actually released in any playable form. Thanks for expressing an interest though!

Well, I could argue that if you don't know what necroposting is, you are a newb. Newb is an inexperienced user.

It can also be a term of abuse so please don't use it here.

Yeah, against TOS to calls someone a Noob. Newb refers more to Newbie, or New Player/user though.

Is this mod map going all the way to india? If so, then you should include India and Kidarites (or some variation of them) in the factions (didn't see them listed).

To be honest with you: the map, nor the factions, are, at this moment, written in stone. The work on RO hasn't really begun yet.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
What have the Romans ever done for us?? apart from better sanitation and medicine and education and irrigation and public health and roads and a freshwater system and baths and public order... what have the Romans done for us?
    Some of my favourite quotes:
"Your god has yet to prove himself more merciful than his predecessors" ~ Hypatia, as represented in the film 'Agora'
"If you choose to do nothing, they will continue to do this again and again, until there is no-one left in the city, no people for this governement to govern"
~ Hypatia, as represented in the film 'Agora'

Will there be any major differences in the roman army between the two campaigns in this mod? The army had undergone some changes during the reign of Diocletian, will this be reflected in the Constantine era campaign?

At the moment, the two campaigns are planned to be released as two separate mods rather than one mod with two campaigns. The Constantine era mod has yet to be named, but as far as army composition goes, and every other question relating to the armies - these questions are best answered by julianus heraclius.

As Joar has indicated we have decided to create two mods, RO and as yet to be named Constantine mod focusing on the Civil wars around 311 AD onwards. In many ways the Constantine mod will be a transition mod between the 3rd and 4th Centuries reflecting the changes that Diocletian and then later Constantine brought about both Civil and Military.

I am thinking, that like SAI each mod will have at least 2 campaigns but not sure as to what yet apart from the 270AD campaign for RO and the 311AD campaign for the Constantine mod.

Two more for RO come to mind, one set in 260AD under Gallenius and the other around 284AD when Diocletian come to power.

But these are still works in progress.
