lol, I don't know how capable I am (maybe I should start looking into it, as soon as my mod is done... ) but you should be able to enable reforms, then with the pre-diocletian units have them labeled as (iirc, it's something similar at any rate) "AFTER MARIAN REFORMS: FALSE" or something anyways... I'll post a topic on it in the mod forums.
Yes, I hate the fact RTW is out and I still have a Japanese title. Come on now admins- let's get with the program.

Sounds great. Can't wait for this mod (maybe you want to change the starting date to 253 so I can play with Gallienus )

I once started making something set in this timeframe but quit due to not having enough time. But if I can help you I gladly would.

here is Palmyra which has effectively ruled most of the roman east under Queen Zenobia after Rome’s disastrous defeats against the Sassanids culminating in the defeat and capture of the Emperor Valerian in 265AD.
    just a tiny correction:
the capture of Valerianus was in spring 260, the independence of Palmyra in 268

This Mod will be just great. the IIIth Century Crisis is one the most exciting and interesting period in Roman History . Gallic Empire will be playable, but not Zenobia's Empire if I am correct?

No, both the Gallic Empire and Zenobia's Palmyran Empire will be playable.

Guys, at the moment I'm busy finalising IJV3.0 and Ramon is busy with family matters. Once IJ has been done and dusted then I will turn my attention to RO. Alot of work that has gone into IJV3.0 will be used as the basis for RO which includes additional buildings including multiple religious buildings and 10 religious factions, as well as an expanded traits and ancillaries files.

I thank you for all of your patience, as I know it will be worth it.

    Cheers

all the units are to be encoded export_descr_buildings.txt in the data folder
and to discreet them between standard and Reforms of Constantine, I think they should be marked like "and not marian_reforms" and "and marian_reforms"...
Diocletians reforms were the most on the rearrangement of provinces into dioceses and the tetrarchy....

    The Carpians are still in??
They were quite a powerful enemy of the Roman Empire, many roman emperors fought them.(Philip the Arab, Aurelianus, Diocletian, Constantine, Theodosius I)
