Mecca capture crash

im getting a recurring bug where when i autocalculate to capture mecca, the abyysids last city( i think), the game goes into this endless loading period, and then locks-up. are there any fixes out for this? i can post a save if necessary

Who are you playing? Abbasids should not be controlling mecca.

I would venture a guess that if it's the last city that a faction controls and they lose it, then the faction is going into horde mode. The apparent 'freezing' is the time your PC is taking to generate a new army for the formerly destroyed faction. Leave the game running, go do some push-ups, sharpen a scimitar or two & the turn will eventually continue.

I could be completely wrong about this but looking at the descr_sm_factions file the BC team may have implemented hording for some factions.

Yep you're right. Though Abbasids don't have hording.

Needless to say I will remove hording for nearly all the factions for the 1.1 patch. This seems to freak people out too much to be worth keeping.. except for mongols, KoJ and kypchaks. KoJ because I can't spawn stacks for a non-hording faction (i think).
