so try it as best as you can.

my self i find that the roman army's movement points are too short, oh yah gen's can go far but the main army can not...

i hope you all like this as much as i am.

It has to be 58 BC. TFT does not allow for Named Legions nor Caesar in 58 BC.

I can confirm that the six starting legati are

    Titus Labienus
    Quintus Pedius
    Publius Sulpicius Rufus
    Gaius Caninius Rebilus
    Gaius Trebonius
    Lucius Munatius Plancus

Marcus Antonius is scripted to appear in 54

Gaius Scribonius Curio joins Caesar at the opening of the Bellum Civile

Gnaeus Domitius Calvinus, Publius Cornelius Sulla and Quintus Fufius Calenus appear in Rome after the successful conquest of Italy.

Octavius is correct to state that the legions in 58 BC: Caesar Imperator! are identified by number only.

    The legions are:

Legio V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, XII, XIII, XIV, XXVI, XXVII and XXVIII

In my campaign the last three guys can never get the Legatus trait, not even the Tribune trait. They only have the Former-Legatus. I mentioned it in an other post a couple of days before. I don't know if this is a bug or something.

    @ misplacedgeneral

"It has to be 58 BC. TFT does not allow for Named Legions nor Caesar in 58 BC."

i have them named just so i can keep track as to which of my gen.s are where and when they are supose to be where....
    ------------------------------------------------------
    @ Octavius Vatco

"But the legions of 58 bc are not named like that.. nor it was in history..yet...

the info i got the legions from is from here

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Roman_legions

sorry there were 4 to 5 pages i used for the info.. but right now i can only find this one that i used....

Legio V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, XII, XIII, XIV, XXVI, XXVII and XXVIII"

so the 2 legions i have been looking for to make the 12 at alesia ??
"edit post" legio's XXVI, XXVII, XXVIII, I can't find any info on these legions during the siege of Alesia of 52bc
anywhere, could you please give me the info as to where you found this. please

    and for all :

    "Julius Caesar,
    Titus Labienus,
    Mark Antony,
    Quintus Cicero,
    Publius Crassus"
these are the history ones, i am not sure if i have them(all) in my FTF 1.92?
i will have to check... but i use them for my AAR, which i hope to have done soon...sorry no date yet.. sorting out pics and writing up the story line as best as i can...to have it make since.

sorry for the dobble post but here is another web site that i used for this info on the legions from 58bc to 50bc...

    http://www.unrv.com/military/legions.php
the info on the page and the index on the far right also has the rest.

i have now gotten all of gaul, and 3 of the 4 in britian and have moved the 10 legios i had at Alesia...off to Rome..but my plebes are not happy enough for an attack... and it is in spring 49bc already.. i should be in Rome by now..some what....i will have to back track my saves to fall of 52bc i guess...its not that i am cheating this way, just trying to play historicity i guess..the sad thing is that Vercingetorix did not stay in Alesia, he was all by him self.. ^*&^&%^# me off.

Hey narren.. I also did the same thing when i played tft..I only named two legions in my mind.. only the Legio X Eqvestris and the
IX triumphalis .. the civil war though should've started after you acquire the triumphal arch at alesia...i
f not. i think you have to invade italy by 49..

but the game at this point wont let me.. i can march my legions all over and around Rome and the other cities, but cant attack them, not enough plebe support...

so i am keeping that campaign and going back to 54bc to do it another way, which i wanted to do, but is some what not historic . ooops did i say that..

pics and story line is almost done,

Maaybe you should have use Caesar for most of the battles so he can acquire bonuses fro his traits that would increase his popularity with the plebs. Thats one of some features in TFT I love because of its representation of historicity.( the one with gauges of popularity to both senate and the plebs that is)
