Whats the best money setting for BC MP?
I havnt tested much, till now Id say: 14000

Its definitely not the default 10,000. But ~15000 sounds right.

You should have some house rules related to some units that are basically exploits. Examples are some of the elite elephants, Ghazi warriors of the ghorids, units with shield wall ability, etc.

Well I just played a number of 10k games and tried saving a few 10k armies, but just wasn't satisfied. So I increased up to 15k had a couple games, but I think it's too much as it allows you to exploit the cav like in vanilla.

So I'm thinking 12k is just right, I was able to get a few elites in there and still have a well balanced army.

Units are a fair bit more expensive than in vanilla, so yeah I would say 14-15K is in the right area.

Some factions are really expensive, Georgia and Khwarezm for example.

10k gets you a barely adequite army not a good one 15 will probably be too much I would say 13 from what I was seeing as you need the extra 3k to make a decent army too much and people will be making all heavy cav/archers/infantry which is not that much fun and bc would lose its uniqueness

ok so I trust AlphaDelta makes a point about some of the factions which I haven't played yet. Honestly some of the most fun games in mp have been low k like 5 or 7. So really there could be a couple standards here for the sake of playing styles.

I would say 12.5k could be a good standard on the low end and 15k on the high end.

Id say 13 k, you can make good setups with georgia and khwarezm there and it is not too much.

Remember, BC is tailors in a very contrasted rock paper scissors fashion.

Swordsmen/AP kill Spears. Spears kill cav, Cav kills Swordsmen.
