This made me go back to the OP, which itself makes me ask this question: Are you sure that tsyasar (respectively tsyasarstvo) was used in Serbia in those times? Because I'm quite sure that the shortened form tsar (respectively tsarstvo) had already appeared at least a couple of centuries earlier. And while the original longer form was still used in some cases even till the 17th or 18th century or so, I think tsar/tsarstvo had already largely replaced it by the mod's time. Or at least in Bulgaria it did, I think...

That's something I'm not sure of, but what I meant was - this was not the proper spelling in XIV century.

it would be car and carstvo ( c is ts/tz ) today atleast

whether exactly this term was used... regarding the titles in native language, oldest for Croatian is cca 1100 for Demetrius Zvonirmir in in Croatian which names him kral hrvatski, while modern historians according to difference in Latin in dux and rex tend to use acordingly for all rulers prior of Tomislav who ruled in first half of 10 century the knez/dux and later kralj/rex, I'm more of a opinion that there was no such difference in Croatian itself back then and that they were al called krals.

For the Serbs themselves if would be very interesting if our Serb historians could dig up some text writen in Serbian back then with native Serbian titles of their ruler rather than translatet Latin or Greek
