Light blue: very swampy.
Even lighter blue: swampy.
On the lowlands there should be only a few trees but Transdanubia, upper Hungary and Transysvania should have big woodlands.
Or look at these maps: http://www.ace.hu/igcp442/maps.html
The old size of the lakes are shown on these maps even better.
A very interesting map! Could you share a version of larger resolution, so the settlement’s names would be nicely visible?
Look at this one:

The 2 extra lakes on the pictures of my previous post were actually swamps almost always covered with water. You may add these as lakes, too. They were on the lowlands.

I'll edit this comment later.
Very Nice!
Great! You can make the cylinder higher and erase the needless parts with alpha channel.
You may work a bit with proportions, it should be a bit flatter and the bands may be wider.

I started to make a name list for you. I will make the Hungarian part easily but I found only 2 Croatian name for the period: Mladen and Matko. But I'm sure Matko could help finding other ones.
How will Hungary be represented in the game in terms of strength? I think in the area of the world the mod focuses on that along with the Byzantines and later the Ottomans that the Hungarians were one of the stronger factions. Will it work out like this in the mod? In vanilla MIITW, Hungary always seemed a little on the weak-side to me, especially when it came to Mounted archers. In Vanilla, the Byzantines have better Mounted archers but in reality Hungary's greatest strength was in this field.
Looking forward to seeing how they turn out!
Just wondering what size map you guys are planning on using, Will you go extra large at the expense of turn time or stick to regular vanilla size? Personally I like the larger maps and don't mind having to wait a little longer. Anyway back on topic, has it been decided what Hungarian settlements will be used?
*ok i just spotted the map thread. Should answer my first question!!*

I suppose the rest of the cities had less inhabitants or have no estimations.
Can I use this picture, at least as a source for the kings clothes?
