The only issue that i have is the lack of music while fighting a battle on the battle map.

Your not hearing any music?, I'm pretty sure there are tracks assigned.

In the near future no, but maybe when I've finished what I'm doing at the moment I'll come back to this, not sure what I could add though tbh.

Absolutely not, my friend- ALL of H.S.'s work is completely modfoldered- just follow the instructions about copying and renaming the BI files.
They are absolutely amazing- He creates entire new worlds for us to explore.

If anyone still checks out this forums,it'd be awesome if someone could help me with this,the installer didnt put a shortcut and my custom made shortcut doesn't work because my properties doesn't work because show_err isn't valid...

the -show_err bit isn't essential - but there is no reason why it should be objecting to it.... make sure you have included a space before the -show_err

the essential bit to get the mod to run is that the shortcut properties has

"......\Rome - Total War\RomeTW-BI.exe" -mod:bi/eod2

again make sure there is a space between " and -


am not sure why the installer wouldn't have given you a shortcut - it might be worth trying to run it again - incase it failed at an earlier point and you're missing some other stuff as well.

Yes i know,i already installed it like 3 times and it wouldn't give me a shortcut,i dled the SPQR and XGM mods and installed them,then i tried installing eod2 in the same way it didn't work,all i got in my folder are the eod folder with the data & stuff,and a Icon named Wolven,and i tried the show_err thingy already and it still says i have no valid path....(sorry for me being a retard....)

hmmm...

if you've got SPQR on same installation then you might have problems running eod2 (as far as I can see SPQR isn't modfoldered, which means its not necessarily compatible with eod2) however that shouldn't stop the installer generating the shortcut.

Please let me know what operating system are you using (XP/Vista etc) and how much space is free on the drive you are installing to?

I suspect its a vista related problem - though I'm surprised if it is that, that more people aren't having same problem - if there are any other Vista users that have EoDII working could you let me know if you had to change anything please.

As far as I understand if you have RTW installed into the /program files folder in Vista it tries to protect the contents. The EoDII installation process includes copying some existing BI files into the eod2 folder then copying some newer stuff over them.... suspect that point could be causing trouble and stalling the installer before you get to the shortcut

about turning the UAC control off which stops it trying to send things into
C:\Users\your.username\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files
instead of the main folder location.... could you have a look in that location and see if any bits of eod2 have ended up there?
