    Default Interface graphics

    I've been working on the menu and loading interface for PKH, have been trying to get a slightly more medieval feel and lose some of the more modern looking elements - previews are below:


    Loading screen - we're using some old black and white book illustrations to decorate those.


    Menus are changed to appear on scrolls...


    Faction selection screen for campaigns, faction info appears on the main scroll, in enlarged area as Wilddog seems to want to write essays for those

    Its just to give some more info about the various factions so that people know a bit about the faction.. and what happened to them afterwards.

    RE the long Faction descriptions:
    I for one really enjoy a TW mod the provides accurracy as well as a history lesson as well.It adds to the flavour of playing when you understand the background of the faction you chose.I often will role play a faction as historically as possible to give the game balance ...to easy to conquer the map..zzzzzz The TWC community is full of learned men, the mods that they create which offer excellent historical content are the best to play from my experience.
    e.g Autherian Total War,EB,RTR, IBFD(and its submods), Sicilian Vespers to name a few.

    Exelent work!!!+rep.
    TGC in order to continue its development seak one or more desicated scripters to put our campaign scripts mess to an order plus to create new events and create the finall missing factions recruitment system. In return TGC will give permision to those that will help to use its material stepe by step. The result will be a fully released TGC plus many mods that will benefit TGC's material.
    Despite the mod is dead does not mean that anyone can use its material
    read this to avoid misunderstandings.

    IWTE tool master and world txt one like this, needed inorder to release TGC 1.0 official to help TWC to survive.
    Adding MARKA HORSES in your mod and create new varietions of them. Tutorial RESTORED.

    Just a question: how did you manage to change the font for the faction_intro panel? I'm trying this since two years ago!
    (Are you able to have it a little smaller (say as large as the title "strengths" and "weaknesses" in the vanilla select-a-faction screen?)

    To change the text - I assume you mean for the long description showing on the centre scroll - go into data/menu/mtw2.lnt, make a back up copy of it first and look for

    I changed verdana_sml to verdana_med.

    As for other sizes tnr_sml might be the other one, its the only other small font ID I can see used in the original file. Guessing by looking at the names of the .cuf files in data/fonts there might be others you can use, there's a kpl_60 which is used for the largest text, that corresponds with a cuf file name but there are also kpl_18 and kpl_14 files. Might be worth some experimentation to see if there are any more usable font names.

    The wall might get a bit more work to get something with a bit more character, hopefully if I saved things right I can just switch another layer in at some stage... :hmmm:

    WOW! That's cool! It works! Great, great, great.

    Anyway it affects only the menu, not the strat interface... Have you been able to find the file containing the same kind of info, but regarding the strat? (I definitley want to get rid of that Arial text in the unit info panel... )
