Dunno about anyone else but I really fancy using spartan hoplites in medieval 2 lol
Who cares about historical accuracy?

Well - I think there is a time and a place for it - its just learning how to seperate the two sometimes people have a hard time with.
HS - Back to the Spartan Model - I was wondering if you could take the cloak down to the ankles on the Spartans? Once again most Spartan models have shorter cloaks than what was in the movie and those guys had riddiculously long cloaks - I think It will look really sharp and key up the model.
It can be done, but it doesn't work to well, when the model moves the cloak disappears below the ground or the legs go through it, it looks a bit naff.
Ahhh - makes sense as to why they are not long
Of course yeah I enjoy playing things that are historically accurate and I don't like it when things that are meant to be aren't.
But for me there are too many mods around that attempt to be historically accurate.
Why don't people just have a bit of fun and make a mod where you can play as people who never could have met historically.
Like Spartans vs Aztecs etc.
Imagine if someone made a mod that was like a best of..
Funny you should mention that.
See here.

Cool thanks.
Though sadly I uninstalled Rome TW the other day lol
Tried playing it after playing medieval 2 for so long and I couldn't get back into it.
I can see a Rome 2: TW in the pipeline one day though I'm sure...
un-installed Rome!, what would Maximus Decimus Meridius, commander of the Armies of the North, General of the Felix Legions, loyal servant to the true emperor, Marcus Aurelius. Father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife,Cool thanks.

I had the opposite experience - playing (read modding and testing) RTW so long I could not get into M2TW and uninstalled that instead

Ahhh blasphemy, who can uninstall Rome! I'm with MasterOfNone--I will uninstall M2 before Rome.
(Somewhat related to the mod, I am now the proud owner of a 250GB external hdd, looks like I have room for this. )
Don't get me wrong it was Rome that got me into TW games in the first place so it has a special place in my heart.
But I forgot how different it all was after playing M2
I had a little go of the campaign and it was hurting my brain lol
Though I would probably get Alexander just to play this 300 mod.
I've always liked Spartans... But possibly too much.. lol
But I never liked Macedonia hence my reason for not getting Alexander to date.
Well in this period Macedon are the baddies. (if you play as the Greeks)But I never liked Macedonia hence my reason for not getting Alexander to date.
If its for ATW what about having Efialtes or Arcadian leader from the film??
HS thing are looking great if you need any coding help(although I doubt it) I can help.
