hi lusted, i have a question about the musketeers in this mod. did you make them less powerful or did you just make everyone else's defend higher? I remember in the vanilla version, i would use units of musketeers and the charging enemies mostly would be frightened into routing or just be destroyed. it does not seem to do anything to enemy morals anymore. also, very importantly, musketeers shots used to be one shot one kill. but in this mod, i see low level units (spear militia) taking one or even two bullets and still manage to stand!
in a standing exchange between a unit of PEASANT archers and my completely upgraded musketeers, they are killing more of my men than me killing theirs. are musketeers completely useless in this mod?

where do I dl LTC 4.1? I have downloaded the LTC gold but I need to first install 4.1 right?

I cant seem to be able to download LTC gold.. I've tried serveral times from all 3 links he posted.. I downloaded to desctop or other folder and when it done downloading I get the next error:
cannot copy lands_to_conquer_gold[1]: Access denied.
Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected
and that the file is not currently in use.
Any 1 can advise me what to do?

Haha, I should check the forums more often. Was still playing LTC 2.3 until I saw this thread.
I really want to say thanks for the Lands to Conquer mod. Finally, I enjoy playing M2TW, and now it's even better than RTW. A great number of small annoyances in the original game are eliminated, but without taking away the many great things about the original like so many other mods do. Really nice wallpaper shots during transitions - and the computer response even seems a little faster than the original. Overall, many thanks and much appreciation for the work that went into making Lands to Conquer!

Lusted, is it possible in your awesome AI to make the AI use their assassins more? Egyptians for example should utilize them all the time. I play it at very hard and I almost never lose a general or agent to assassins.
Hi, i was just wondering if there was any way of adding these parts of the mod -
Battlemap AI
-Improved AI flanking.
-Improved AI in sieges.
-AI more aggressive in certain situations in field battles.
-AI uses skirmishers better.
Campaign AI
-Stronger alliances, and allies which help each other more. This results in alliance blocs forming which also change over the course of the game.
-More logical changes to faction standings. So you and the AI will no longer always end up terrible and untrustworthy.
-More logical diplomacy, so it is now a more useful tool in the campaign.
-Rarer Catholic - Islamic alliances.
-Better AI sense of survivability. AI factions are more likely to want peace/vassal if being beaten/beaten badly.
-Better AI garrisoning settlements, and use of forces to guard it's borders.
-More aggressive AI v Independent Factions(eg the rebels from vanilla), so the AI expands much better early on and so the AI can create powerful nations.
-Better AI invasions. It will now build up more before attacking, and attack with more stacks, and stacks which have more units in them.
-Catholic factions less likely to attack each other, but still plenty of wars going on to give that Total War and Medieval experience.
But not the rest of it...? I.e just the AI improvements, rather than the campaign changes and higher corruption tweaks etc. Does anyone know if it's possible?
Can someone please just let me know if there's a way of adding the AI changes without all the increased corruption/uprisings and campaign changing. I just really like the sound of better AI and stronger more meaningful alliances. Is there anyway of just adding this part? PLEASE SOMEONE REPLY.
There is a way, but it includes work. For a simple change like to reduce the corruption it's easy. Go to the settlement xml file and twink with it until you're satisfied.
Each change you do though, needs you to go to the right files and change them.
Is the playable with the original M2tw without kingdoms ?
