*Austria, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Italy and Sweden do not operate statutory minimum rates, but nevertheless have binding sectoral collective agreements that jointly cover a high proportion of the working population.
The common culture of a tribe is a sign of its inner cohesion. But tribes are vanishing from the modern world, as are all forms of traditional society. Customs, practices, festivals, rituals and beliefs have acquired a flut and half-hearted quality which reflects our nomadic and rootless existence, predicated as we are on the global air-waves.

if you don't know where to look, everything excluding minimum wage can be found in the CIA's world fact book and is 2004 updated for most western countries, and usually is about the same as that published by the Office of national Statistics and the Department for Trade and Industry.
