Thread: Cvria Ivlia, Consulate of Sabinus/Lepidus

  1. #601

Default Re: Cvria Ivlia, Consulate of Sabinus/Lepidus

Senators, given that this is already widely discussed, then I would like to propose a motion on Italian borders, based on what was set here.

What border should we impose to Italy

    The Claudian Border (unchanged): I
The Claudian Border (without Messana): N
    The Optima Border: N
    The Decima Border: N
    Abstinere: N

I would like that the PS pays special attention to this motion, as it is of grave importance and can avoid confusion when setting future pro-consulates. When this motion is voted, please leave it visible in the PS Reports, in the Comitata Curiata, or even in a separate thread for province delimitation.

Here is the link for the original post proposing this motion, in case you don't know what the names above refer to.

"Romans not only easily conquered those who fought by cutting, but mocked them too. For the cut, even delivered with force, frequently does not kill, when the vital parts are protected by equipment and bone. On the contrary, a point brought to bear is fatal at two inches; for it is necessary that whatever vital parts it penetrates, it is immersed. Next, when a cut is delivered, the right arm and flank are exposed. However, the point is delivered with the cover of the body and wounds the enemy before he sees it."

These motions remain open. They will be continued here until a magistrate election takes place, which the esteemed Gracchus to my dismay apparently forgot

Senator, don't forget that the Pax Romana motion is already rejected due to the overwhelming number of votes against.

As you can see, I voted in favor of the Claudian border without Messana. I wouldn't count Sicilia as a part of Italia.

Secondly, the alliance with Epirus was illegal and I doubt the Roman people would like us for allying with a nation who's king has caused us great trouble.

Finally, I am in favor of lowering the taxes for now. We've had nothing but constant warfare and the Plebeians need a break.
