1.6 is automatically included in the Gold Edition. You don't need to do anything for it.

Ok, I tryed to install a Mod but its quite confusing. I just want like a skin upgrade, a map increase to the east wouldn't go astray either, but it's not nessary. Also More regions/cities would be great but again not a necessity.
I have 1.6 patch and it's gold edition, I am looking for a mod for either of the RTW's BI or the orginal.
Thanks,
"When God gives you lemons you find a new God..."
1.5 is latest rtw patch
1.6 is latest BI patch
both are included in gold edition

What about the mods?

Look in the mod recommendation thread. It was made for all questions regarding the choice of a mod.

I've never tried this mod myself, but Invasio Barbarorum is a good one for BI
SPQR TW is super when you want a challgening Roman campaign
but let us not get off topic there is a "mod recomendation" thread for this

What mods can be used with RTW Gold Edition??
"When God gives you lemons you find a new God..."
It works with any BI upgraded to v1.6, and as that's the version in Gold Edition, then yes.
Ok, I installed it right, I didn't change anything, just pressed next next etc.
I started it up right, I was pleased as the "continue campaign" button was greyed out, which I took to be a good sign, I selected "Main Campaign" and it showed the Romano Brits which I also took to be a good sign as well as the Berbers and Celts. I started a game with the WRE, to see the changes but it seems there are none. What is this mod actually meant to do? I appears to have done nothing, I tryed to start a game as the Romano Brits but that had me starting half way through the opposition's turns, and it would not complete the cycle anyway....
I knew it wouldn't be easy as they make it sound...

What shortcut did you click to start up the game? And also, where did you install the mod? In the RTW folder or the BI folder or the BI Data folder?
I didn't change anything, I installed it in the defualt folder, ok, then how do I uninstall it?.....or can I move it?
Its in a folder called "Activision-Rome-Total War", then is has a folder with "Data", "ibfd", and the shortcut pic that is labelled "IBFD", o and its in my C drive.

Ah, I think I know your problem. RTW Gold is installed in a folder called The Creative Assembly, which is the new publisher of RTW in replace of Activision. When IMFD was made, I presume Activision was still the publisher, so the default is installed in the Activision folder. So now, you've just made an entirely new folder called Activision, and it has no data files except the ones part of the mod.
What you need to do, is reinstall it but when it installes, install it into the path "C:\Program Files\Creative Assembly\Rome Total War" or whereever your Vanilla is kept. Then install, and it should work.
