What faction do you recomend?

To me to play as. I am losing interest by turn 30 and i just quit. What was the faction you had the most fun as.

What do you play? Vanilla, or XL, or another mod? If you play vanilla, get XL or another mod. If you play XL, play as the Danish for a good challenge. Or the Aragonese. Or the Armenians.

It really depends what sort of challenge or gameplay you're interested in. If you like to lead a small nation to glory then go for the Danes or Aragonese or the Polish. Lots of tough battles guaranteed. If you're more into managing huge empires, then of course the HRE (my favourite atm) or the Byz. So far, I'm really enjoying the Irish and the Teutonic Order (XL). I like the Irish for their unique unit set and fighting style, and I like the Teutons because I love the idea of using small, elite armies to attack much larger forces. Plus those Teutonic Knights are seriously hard core.

HRE, build lots of units in ALL your provinces and then go blitzkrieg on all sides. Garanteed fun.

You could play as any of these factions:

1) Aragonese
2) Poles
3) Sicilians
4) HRE

All are much more interesting to play as.

Or you could play in a different era? Alternatively you could download one of the mods or go and buy/play a different game/tw game.

The longest campaign I had was as the Turkish. After you crush the Byzantine behemoth, you'll still have nice challenges in store for you. Also, they get the arguably best infantry in the game(Janissary Heavy Infantry). Also, Byzantines are probably a good choice, they get real nice units in the early game(some ONLY in the early game :/) and can bash both catholics and muslims without having to watch out for excommunication.

i built a pretty decent kingdom with aragonese, i'm on hungarians now, they're good to play too, but a bit easy

I always have fun playing as the Spanish, maybe its just my style, but the wars with the Almohads at the beginning of the game is fun (especially early era) as the war can go on for ages if you're playing on hard setting, and if you lose the game, you go back and try it again.

In vanilla I play as the danish most. But I also like England/France/HRE.

In MedMod I play as England or France almost exclusively, as I love the hundred years war setup, and how it plays out.

For this time-period, it's hard to choose one. Perhaps a Spanish faction because they conquered the New World with a small nucleus of professional soldiers. Very tough soldiers.
