I am a little skeptical about disbanning our troops.. What happens if gaul decides they want to attack or carthage comes stomping around our shoers again?

I dont think you fully understand the tactic we are looking at using. Before the initial phase of disbandment we can use these troops to take the city and gain us a few extra denarii per turn. It will be making use of the auxillia before we disband them. Please see the rationale behind my decisions. For the glory of the Res Publica

Fear not the Gauls or Carthaginians at this stage. We will still have troops right to the end. The disbandment will not happen at once but over a period of V years. The italian cities lay between us and the Gauls and I doubt after the last attack of the Carthaginians we need to worry about them now.
And Secundus, as a leader in this fine house are you going to support my motions?

Yes.. we have no other choice to disband them.. but first we shuld take as many cities as posible (exept for the "buffer zones" vs other nations) and then we shall (hopefully) earn more than youst disband the Legions... but disband the must for Rome must start to repay her debt!

It would seem that the choice before us is whether to take the city or not. Yes there is a large contingent there but they have refused to come under Rome's rule without a fight. Its either that or for me to report on other cities that we can occupy. Should I have the decision to myself I would leave the italian cities and head straight for Gaul as they are easy picking.
